ERIN BEAUMONT
INSTRUCTOR | BJJ BROWN BELT | UKBJJA LEVEL 3 REFEREE
Erin began her martial arts journey with Judo at the age of 8, training until the age of 13 and earning her black belt. She then went on to train in Taekwondo from 13 to 16 before beginning her Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journeys in 2013.
Erin achieved her Kickboxing brown belt in 2016 and continued to develop her striking skills through training in Muay Thai and Boxing.
In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Erin achieved her brown belt in 2023 and has built an extensive competition record, competing in over 80 matches and earning 15 gold, 22 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Her competition experience includes the IBJJF Europeans, NAGA, British Open, UKBJJA competitions, ADCC, BJJ 24/7, Rickson Cup and Scottish Grappling.
One of Erin's standout achievements came at the 2025 IBJJF European Championships, where she won gold at brown belt.
Erin has also competed in seven submission-only matches, with 3 wins and 4 losses, and has competed at the first ladies-only submission competitions held in both England and Ireland, ENYO in England and Grapple Queens in Ireland.
A strong advocate for women's participation in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Erin has coached ladies-only classes and organised the first ladies-only BJJ competition in Scotland — Elgin Beginner Ladies Only.
Alongside her coaching and competition experience, Erin holds a UKBJJA Level 3 referee qualification, bringing a strong understanding of both competition rules and technical development to her coaching at Highlander BJJ.
Erin is passionate about helping students develop their Jiu Jitsu in a supportive environment, while encouraging more women to get involved in the sport.
