ETHAN BEAUMONT

Ethan began his martial arts journey at the age of 8, starting with Taekwondo and later adding Kickboxing. He achieved black belts in both disciplines at 18.

His martial arts background also includes Jeet Kune Do, Thai Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts, including a semi-professional MMA record of 3 wins and 2 losses.

Ethan has dedicated the later part of his martial arts journey to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, developing his skills through extensive training and competition.

He was awarded his BJJ black belt in January 2025, following a silver-medal performance at the IBJJF European Championships at brown belt.

As Highlander's head coach, Ethan brings more than 30 years of martial arts experience to his teaching, combining his background across multiple disciplines with a technical and practical approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

His approach is simple: learn the fundamentals, train consistently, and keep improving.

Ethan holds a UKBJJA Level 3 referee qualification, bringing a strong understanding of both competition rules and technical development to his coaching at Highlander BJJ.

Ethan has competed extensively throughout his BJJ journey, including at regional, national and international level.

Ethan has continued competing since achieving his black belt, including medalling at the 2025 British Open and National Masters.
